Working on the BMod Super Vee

Working on the BMod Super Vee

Postby TeamFRD » Fri Mar 21, 2008 9:08 am

I am going to try to correct my oiling issues on Saturday with the goal on making the Sunday event. This involves taking the back half of the car apart to get to the oil pump. It's a several hour process.

Anyone want to help? Another set of hands is alway good.

Or I could procrastinate some more and just ask for a co-drive...
Hmm... Scott S? Jeremy B? Chris H?

I have a few pictures of you collecting and refilling your car at the Dixie Tour. Almost like doing an oil change in grid. :)

Don't know if David fixed his oiling problems but here is what he was doing in grid at the Dixie Tour.

Ouch, the secret is out. It was like a well choregraphed dance.
I got the car apart (suspension, transaxle, engine) at about 3:30pm on Sat.
Upon reviewing the pump, the suspected gap between the pump and the case is not really there. Still searching...

I'm doing this all again since the engine has gone south. If anyone wants to help take apart a race car next week or next weekend, look me up.
